About Amanda
My work has been shaped by lived experiences, leadership, and years spent walking alongside people with complexity. I have worked in environments that require a practical understanding of human behaviour, far beyond theory. Over the years, I have supported individuals navigating mental health challenges, housing instability, grief, relational strain, identity shifts, and major life transitions. This work called for steadiness, discernment, and the ability to understand both the individual and the system surrounding them. For more than a decade, my professional path has been in advocacy, supportive housing, and program development, including contracts with Vancouver Coastal Health. One of the most meaningful initiatives I contributed to was the development of an eleven-unit supportive housing project for individuals facing mental health challenges. That experience required vision, structure, and the ability to move ideas into real, grounded outcomes. Alongside this work, I have spent much of my life paying close attention to what shapes a person beneath the surface: family dynamics, survival strategies, emotional injury, resilience, belief systems, and the body's response to prolonged stress. My path has also required deep personal excavation. I understand what it takes to move through grief, pressure, confusion, responsibility, and reinvention. I understand the process of rebuilding from within, where clarity is earned, and self-trust is developed over time. That experience shapes the way I work now: grounded, direct, and focused on meaningful change. My approach is further informed by my ongoing studies in counselling psychology, my background in functional medicine, and my continued interest in how thought, behaviour, physiology, and meaning interact. I do this work because I care deeply about helping people become clearer, more integrated, and more capable of living in alignment with who they are.
Why This Work Is Different
This work is thoughtful, directive, and integrative. I help people to see what is happening, understand why it is happening, and begin making the shifts required for real change. My approach is shaped by several elements working together: Lived Experience I recognize the difference between surface-level coping and genuine change. I understand the weight of responsibility, the impact of early experience, and the process of building with intention. Professional Grounding Years of working in complex environments have developed my ability to remain steady, practical, and clear while supporting others through difficult realities. Pattern Recognition I identify the structures beneath behaviour... what is repeated, avoided, inherited, or embedded within the body and relational dynamics. Directive Clarity People benefit from clear language, honest reflection, and grounded direction. This work provides structure while still allowing space for personal insight. Whole-Person Integration Thoughts, emotions, physiology, relationships, and personal meaning are interconnected. Real change happens when these elements are understood together and worked with intentionally. The individuals drawn to this work are often ready to engage at a deeper level. They are willing to look clearly at their lives, take responsibility for their direction, and move forward with greater self-trust. If you are ready to understand yourself more deeply and build a more aligned way of living, this work offers a place to begin.

Mission
"My work is grounded in helping individuals understand themselves more clearly.
Through thoughtful, direct, and integrative work, I support people in recognizing patterns, processing lived experience, and building the internal structure required to move forward with greater clarity, self-trust, and intention."

Vision
My vision is to contribute to a shift in how individuals understand themselves with clarity and build the capacity for meaningful change.
This work is grounded in teaching a practical approach to self-awareness... one that supports individuals in recognizing patterns, retraining responses, and working with the nervous system to foster greater stability, clarity, and self-trust.
Over time, this includes creating immersive environments, such as retreat settings, where individuals can step out of their usual patterns and engage more fully in the process of integration, reflection, and change.
At its core, this work reflects a simple principle:
Growth is available when it is engaged with directly
The process of becoming more aware, more steady, and more aligned is something that can be learned, practiced, and lived
